Meet Alex
Hi I'm Alex, the licensed Makaton Tutor behind Hands On Connections.
With a decade of experience in the special education sector, it's fair to say I've seen Makaton used in many ways. I began my own Makaton journey in 2014 and finally became a licensed tutor in 2023.
I hold a BA with QTS degree in Early Years Education and a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This combined with my experience of working with children with a range of additional needs, trauma, and complex behaviour means that I am not only able to offer you Makaton training, but also knowledge based on first hand experience.

What can Hands on Connections do for me?
Through Hands On Connections you can complete Makaton training from Taster sessions to level 1 all the way through to level 4.
Hands On Connections core purpose is to not only train professionals that support people with additional needs, but also train people in the wider community so that we can create more meaningful connections in day to day life.
Training can be offered online and in person and bespoke training plans can be created to suit your needs.
